The Adventure Begins

Meet the Thatcher’s, sounds like the beginning of a weird TV show.  Well for those of you who don’t know us, it really is kind of like a weird TV show.  We have lots of fun together and enjoy making jokes, laughing with our friends and meeting new people on our travels. 

In the middle of 2020, we both really started to take stock of our lives and what we wanted to do next.  After the shut down, I (Kat) went back to work while Lew continued working, doing all the same things he had for the previous 11 years.  Then the loss of parents brought additional reflection.  We both had been searching for “the thing” for a long time and had not been satisfied with our current vocation for a long time.  Finding what you want to be when you grow up seems to be harder than expected.  But having a job that feels unsatisfying and, on some days, just plain crap gives a person motivation.  

So now here we are starting the next phase of our lives.  We love to travel most often overlanding in the Toyota and camping. During our travels or even just staying at home we both enjoy taking photographs.  Both of us have enjoyed photography for many years.  Our subjects have ranged from architecture to anything in nature.  Regardless of the theme, having fun, creating photos and showing what lives or has been left behind has always been our joy.  Look forward to having you check us out, see where we are and enjoy the photos we’ve shared. 

 During our overlanding travels the jokes between trucks is always part of the joy. So, as part of the “cheese” see one of my favorites below.
